Title: The Chinese Zodiac

1
The Chinese Zodiac
  • A Twelve-year Cycle

2
The Chinese astrology is based on a twelve-year
cycle
  • The legend says that Buddha called together all
the animals in creation, but only twelve of them
turned up, and those that did were each given a
year, in the order of their arrival.
  • The Chinese believe that your character is
influenced by the animal sign governing the year
    in which you were born.

3
Which animal are you?
4
More animals to choose from
5
The Rat
  • People born in the year of the rat are often
energetic and tenacious. They are capable of
being generous and lovable and are good
listeners. However, they can be manipulative and
power hungry, so one must be wary of these
    tendencies.

6
The Buffalo
  • People born under the sign of the buffalo, also
known as the ox, are usually hardworking and
patient. They are usually good leaders, and
sometimes may be loners. They can also be
considered stubborn to the point of rigid, and
also have a tendency to be jealous or vindictive

7
The Tiger
  • The tiger is considered to be a very noble and
courageous people. They are also protective and
passionate. Tigers can be hotheaded at times,
even to the extent of starting a fight. They can
sometimes be vain and unable to compromise.

8
The Cat
  • Those born in the year of the cat (which is
sometimes known as the rabbit) are often refined
and socially adept, which makes them all the
better to have as friends. They are clever and
sometimes a bit old-fashioned. At there worst
    they are thin-skinned and devious.

9
The Dragon
  • To be born in the year of the Dragon is to be
spirited and scrupulous individual. Others lend
to admire the enthusiasm and the vital, generous
nature of the dragon. However, like the
fire-breathing creature, a dragon can be
overbearing and loud-mouthed. They can also be
    independent, and irritable.

10
The Snake
  • Those born in the year of the Snake can be wise
and understated, and are often soft-spoken. They
have an air of intelligence and relate to others
well. When you anger a Snake, though, beware
they can be vengeful, fickle and possessive, and
    often sore losers.

11
The Horse
  • People born in the year of the Horse are often
    athletic, independent and skillful. These
powerful, hard-working people are not only quick
on their feet but also with their tongues. They
make good friends because of their wittiness and
upbeat moods. They can be tactless and ruthless
    when they lose their tempers.

12
The Goat
  • The year of the Goat gives rise to peaceful,
sweet-natured people who tend to be well-mannered
and artistic. These intelligent people can be
kind-hearted and persevering when a cause
motivates them. However, a goat can be
    intrusive, irresponsible and inclined towards
    melancholy.

13
The Monkey
  • Those born in the year of the Monkey are often
known for their intelligence and problem-solving
abilities, which could explain why they make such
good business people. They are witty and
captivating, at worst they can be vain,
    untrustworthy, and immature.

14
The Rooster
  • The year of the Rooster brings forth
    enthusiastic, self-assured people. Roosters are
quite industrious, and have a conservative streak
that clashes with the more adventurous side of
their nature. They are very resourceful, but
difficult to work with because of their
    tendencies to nit-pick and brag.

15
The Dog
  • The Dog is loyal, discreet, and dutiful. They
are excellent prospects for friends. They are
intelligent and selfless, but can also be
introverted, critical and defensive. At their
worst, dogs are cynical and grim.

16
The Pig
  • People born in the year of the Pig are often
    peace-loving, accommodating and sociable. They
have a sensual side and a love of indulgence.
They can be intelligent, but some are naïve,
which allows less scrupulous individuals to take
advantage of them. Gullibility and insecurity
can be a dangerous combination for Pigs at times.
