Methodological adjustment
  • Recommended Declining balance factor (1.6) -
    in the calculation of fixed capital
  • Service life of dwellings (L 75) - was
    calculated as an average of the ages of
    demolished dwellings
  • Rate of return (r 1.75) - to obtain the net
    operating surplus

Impact on GDP
The current estimates for imputed rents were made
on the basis of dwellings number and area and
estimation of average rents per m2 for the
Republic of Serbia for 1997. That estimation was
corrected (increased) for private ownership and
then inflated by living cost index (previous year
100) to obtain estimates at current prices.
