The Beginning

• I was born here in Morehead, but my dad was in
  the Air Force so I only lived in KY about six
  months before my mom and I joined him overseas.

Me in Japan, about 3 yrs old.

• We first lived in Japan for about 2 ½ yrs, then
  later Tampa, Florida where my dad retired from
  the AF. Next we moved to New Jersey and in 1991,
  we moved back to Olive Hill, where Ive lived
  ever since.

Trying to Find a Career

• I graduated from West Carter High School in 2001.
  After that I took a semester off before enrolling
  in a course at Ashland Technical College.

• I received my license as an Emergency Medical
  Technician Basic (EMT-B) in the summer of 2002.
  Unfortunately I had a hard time finding any
  ambulance stations nearby that hires EMTs,
  because they mostly just employ Paramedics (which
  is a higher rank). I tried getting a job at KDMC
  in Ashland, but that didnt work out.

• I decided to give something else a try instead,
  and enrolled here at MSU in the fall of 02. I
  would have graduated already if I had known what
  I wanted to be when I grow up when I first
  enrolled, but since I didnt, I still have
  another year or two left.

What to major in?

• When I first enrolled, my major was English, but
  over the years Ive changed my mind about what I
  want to major in just about every few weeks.
• Majors Ive considered
• Astrophysics
• Radiology
• Theatre
• University Studies
• Electronic Media (my current major)

An Interest That Hasnt Changed

• Ever since I was a kid, Ive loved to write. In
  grade school, I used to write short stories and
  would ask the teacher if there was time at the
  end of class if I could read them to everyone. Or
  sometimes I would improvise a story and tell it
  with stick puppets. The positive feedback I
  received encouraged me to keep writing.

• Over the years Ive tried my hand at writing
  almost everything, from poetry, songs, fiction,
  non-fiction, and I even tried my hand at
  journalism, which turned out to be my least
  favorite form of writing, personally. A few years
  ago I freelanced for a online music e-zine
  called, Dragonfire (now closed down), where I
  mostly interviewed independent music artists.
• Ive currently got three stories in development,
  and I hope to one day finish and publish at least
  one of them.
