Who Needs a Permit?

• Facilities that meet the following
  characteristics
• Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is
  federally regulated
• There is a point source discharge of storm water
  from the property to the surface waters of the
  state
• Industrial materials and/or activities are
  exposed to storm water runoff

Permit Requirements

• Facilities are required to have a Certified
  Industrial Storm Water Operator
• Facilities are required to develop and implement
  a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)

• DEQ has rolled out a new state wide training
• Training is still free
• Training frequency has been modified
