Intended Audience The intended audience of my
website is friends and family who have or
regularly play the Xbox 360 games console.
Specifically the website is for friends who are
playing or thinking of buying the games featured
and for new gamers looking for people to play
with online.
- Goals
- To provide information to assist people in
making a decision to buy the game. - To provide high scores for games currently being
played. - To meet new gamers online to be able to play
with them online on the Xbox 360. - To help people with gaming problems by providing
links to good quality websites covering reviews,
cheats, walkthroughs and just general information.

4Homepage and All Pages
Content The heading used in all pages is the h1
tag which is the largest of the heading tags.
There two images used on all pages, firstly the
Xbox 360 image at the top left is relevant to the
topic of the website but also, like the bottom
background image, provides users of the website a
uniform look and feel no matter what page they
are on. The green text and mostly white
background were chosen to reflect the white and
green colours of the Xbox 360 console. A table of
internal links is included at the top of each
page under the heading.
Layout The heading has been set in the top
middle of the page for users to easily see what
page they are currently on. The first image,
displayed in the top right of the screen and the
background image along the bottom provide a way
for the users to know they are still on the same
website. The internal links table was placed at
the top to provide any easy way to navigate the
website. Content is placed under the table.
Function The purpose behind having the
background image only at the bottom of the screen
was to still keep the intended green and white
colours associated with the Xbox 360 while
proving rich, colourful content that made the
site fun and easy to navigate. The function of
the table is to hold the hyperlinks so they are
evenly spaced and positioned on the site.
5Reviews
Content A table was used to contain the name of
the game being reviewed, the actual review, and
an image of the cover of the game.
Layout The table is positioned in the centre of
the page as the single table holds all the
content for this page. This table has headings
for the columns in bold so users can easily read
the information.
Function The function of the table is to easily
line up each item being reviewed for ease of
viewing and reading. The reviews help achieve my
goals by providing information to prospective
players in an easy to understand and read table.
6Scoreboard
Content A table was used in this page to hold
the high scores of players and the high score for
a certain game. Before the table is text written
in italics with the last word red.
Layout The table is also positioned in the
centre of the page as this table holds most of
the content for this page. Informative text was
placed in an easily viewed position above the
table.
Function The function of the table is to easily
line up each item being reviewed for ease of
viewing and reading. The informative text was
written in to further explain the content of the
table. This table provides the high scores
players have made, and attracts the intended
audience as players will want to try and beat the
scores and have their name included in the scores.
7External Links
Content An unordered list was used on this page
to provide the users with a variety of links to
relevant websites. The list uses the circle
attribute type.
Layout The list starts with the name of the
website as a hyperlink so a user can click
directly on the link, and still know the address
of the site. Just below the link is a brief
explanation of the site and how it could be used.
The whole list is positioned on the left of the
page with an indent.
Function The purpose of the list is the provide
users with relevant information that could not be
included in this site. A list was intended here
so that each link was separated and the user
could easily decide what link to follow. An
unordered list was chosen as it does not matter
about the order for these items.
8References
Content An unordered list was used on this page
to acknowledge the materials and resources used
in the creation of the website.
Layout This list, like the external links list,
is positioned to the left of the page and
indented.
Function The reference list helps show users
the information provided in this website is
credible and also that appropriate
acknowledgements are made. This is important to
attract and keep the intended audience.
