Knob and Nut Removal

• Start by taking off all the knobs
• Now take off all nuts on the face (red circles)

Removing the Speaker

• Now take off the bolts that hold the speaker on
  indicated be red circles
• Rest the speaker aside on the chassis

Cabinet Side Screws

• Now you will need to take these two side screws
  out
• There are two on the other side as well

Dial Lamp Removal

• You will need to unclip the dial lamps from the
  lid section before you
• attempt to take section off. (red circles)
• Just grab and pull off those tabs and set aside.

Final Screw Removal and Cover Removal

• The green circles indicate two other screws
  that need to come off before
• the top can be removed.
• Now the top should come out
• This may not be easy
• Lift one side up at a time and work it out.
• The red circles show the tabs the front part
  sits in. It may be stuck there

Pulling Chassis from Cabinet

• Ok now we need to get the chassis out of the
  rest of the case
• This requires that the radios feet be taken
  out. They actually ride the outside of
• the chassis and kind of wedge the chassis in.
• You will also need to loosen the dial plates and
  move them back.
• Now grab hold and pull up and out in direction
  of arrow.

Dial Drum Locations

• Now you can remove the dial plates and can
  proceed to replace the string.
• The red arrow indicates where my broken string
  was at.

Tie and glue knot to spring

Tie both ends to the spring last. Dont tie one
then string cord then tie other.
