• We will focus on developing our workforce
  specifically on promoting the opportunities for
  jobs/careers and training/education
• We will examine economic development, future
  projects and infrastructure opportunities
• We will encourage communities to create
  comprehensive plans and visions that reflect
  their local values
• We will build on our shared Inupiat values and
  traditions

  translating concept of Assets to Inupiaq

What can I do? What can WE do?

• Take kids camping
• Inupairaaq with kids and others at home, work and
  school
• Promote PRIDE in everything we do culturally
• Work with the school with everything from science
  projects to Inupiaq days

• Way of being
• Grassroots involvement because we care, not
  because an agency said we should do this
• Small things count
• Everyone has a role to play
• Promote, promote, promote

TURNING OUR WORLD RIGHT SIDE UP. Some things
kids in Kotzebue dont like suicide, drugs,
littering, alcohol, stealing, pollution, grafitti
DONT STEP OFF THE TARP OUR COMMUNITY

THINGS WE LIKE ABOUT KOTZEBUE Taking care of
each other, going to camp, safe environment to
play out, awesome celebrations such as 4th of
July and New Years
The Kids were determined to STOMP out the bad
things in Kotzebue and get to the good things in
life.

Networking

• Expand on whats already out there Inupiaq
  Days, Cultural Camps, Wellness and Healthy
  Community Efforts, Health Aides, Elders Councils,
  School Board Members more
• Work with other groups, agencies, backgrounds,
  churches, schools, people of all ages

• Love helping kids succeed is universal
