Amys War A local study of the Second World War
in South Shields, based on a fictional story set
over 3 generations. beginning just after the war
in 1950, nine year old Amy discovers objects from
WW2 in her dads allotment shed. Two generations
later, her grand daughter asks Nana Amy for help
with her school project. Linking these
generations together are a number of artefacts
and the partly destroyed diary of Miss Amy Flagg
Liverpool in the Blitz Produced in collaboration
with the Imperial War Museum North, this
comprehensive site which includes a superb
selection of video interviews of people who lived
through this time describing their experiences
during the Blitz and the rest of the War.
