without registering the comparison study using
Compare feature, allowing the user to drag and
drop selective series from any study in the Power
    Jacket.

18
Section IIMRI MultiPhase Series Splitting
  • MRI series are now split by Echo and by Temporal
    Properties

19
Section IIMRI MultiPhase Series Splitting
During this grouping, a logical decision is made
based on the contents of a series on how to best
group or split up the images. Below is table
of contents of a series and how the series will
be split
n more than 1
20
Section IIMRI MultiPhase Series Splitting
The following properties of MR images will be
used to group the images into the appropriate
series
  • The following rules are used in this order to
    determine MR grouping
  • Group all images by series UID.
  • Group each series UID group by echo number.
  • Group each echo number group by the temporal
position identifier. An exception to rule 3 is if
the number of unique temporal positions is equal
to the number of images in the echo group, then
that group will NOT be grouped by temporal
position. The reason for this exception is the
temporal position may be an increasing series and
this would create numerous single image groups,
which would not be beneficial to the user.

Each group is then sorted alphabetically using
series UID, echo Number, then temporal position.
Note Splitting of MRI studies using the echo
number or temporal position is specific to each
study. Therefore, saving instance reading
protocols is supported but is disabled for
template reading protocols.
21

fraction of True Size provided all Display
    monitors are calibrated.
  • Pan
  • All images in the CFOR will be panned relative to
the chest wall. For example if the Right CC is
panned to move away from the chest wall, the Left
CC will be panned the same amount in the opposite
    direction away its chest wall.
  • Quadrant View
  • All images in the CFOR will be zoomed to same
quadrant number (1 to 4) but the quadrant
rectangle used to zoom is relative to each image.
  • Same Study
  • Window Level
  • All images in the CFOR will be window leveled
with the same Center and Width. This includes the
operations Interactive W/L, Preset (with W/L),
Invert, Revert and Display As Acquired.

Section IIIMammography Features
  • Support for DICOM Pixel Padding and Pixel Padding
    Range
  • If DICOM Image files contain padded pixels as per
the DICOM specification, these pixels will now
always be displayed black even when the image is
    Window Leveled or Inverted.
  • An image can now also have a pixel padding range
specified in the DICOM header file. Any pixels
having values in this range (inclusive) will be
considered padded pixels and will always be
    displayed black
  • Padded pixels stay black when W/L is applied

32
Section IIIMammography Features
  • With this release, Images containing padded MG
images can be viewed by Breast Quadrants.

The resultant quadrant zoom rectangle used is
relative to the images VCS and where the Chest
Wall is located.
Quadrant 1 Q1 Upper quadrant as displayed

  • The user selects quadrant view by selecting the
    Q keyboard key.
  • If quadrant view is not currently in effect, the
image will be zoomed to quadrant 1. Subsequent
keystrokes will advance to next quadrant Q2, Q3,
Q4 then no quadrant (zoom to fit).
  • Next quadrant displayed is a function of what the
current quadrant is. All images in the MG CFOR
will be affected by the quadrant change.
  • Quadrant information will also be saved when
    saving Reading Protocols.

34
Section IIIMammography Features
  • Additional MG DICOM tag supported
  • For 3.2.1, images will grouped by the following
    image attributes

Standard mammography views can now be categorized
by using the laterality and view code sequence in
addition, views like implant displacement (ID)
will be categorized by the view modifier code
sequence tag(0054,0222).
  • In addition, the Series Standards version 2 will
be updated to reflect the additional mammography
views for cleavage and implant displacement views.
