be included in the Instance Save Reading Protocol
without registering the comparison study using
Compare feature, allowing the user to drag and
drop selective series from any study in the Power
Jacket.
18Section IIMRI MultiPhase Series Splitting
- MRI series are now split by Echo and by Temporal
Properties
19Section IIMRI MultiPhase Series Splitting
During this grouping, a logical decision is made
based on the contents of a series on how to best
group or split up the images. Below is table
of contents of a series and how the series will
be split
n more than 1
20Section IIMRI MultiPhase Series Splitting
The following properties of MR images will be
used to group the images into the appropriate
series
- The following rules are used in this order to
determine MR grouping - Group all images by series UID.
- Group each series UID group by echo number.
- Group each echo number group by the temporal
position identifier. An exception to rule 3 is if
the number of unique temporal positions is equal
to the number of images in the echo group, then
that group will NOT be grouped by temporal
position. The reason for this exception is the
temporal position may be an increasing series and
this would create numerous single image groups,
which would not be beneficial to the user.
Each group is then sorted alphabetically using
series UID, echo Number, then temporal position.
Note Splitting of MRI studies using the echo
number or temporal position is specific to each
study. Therefore, saving instance reading
protocols is supported but is disabled for
template reading protocols.
21Section IINew Display Properties
