Purpose of Experiment

• Minimize the potential for injury
• Increase reaction time
• Level the playing field between offense and
  defense
• At 40 ft. a pitcher seems to dominate the game
• Streamline with other NFHS sports rules codes
  (i.e., Baseball)
• Gender Equity
• Streamline with other rules codes (i.e., NCAA,
  ASA)
• Give females the same opportunities for
  advancement that the males receive
