What went well

• festive atmosphere food, music etc
• contacts with an existing interest, e.g. Brighton
  and Hove Black History
• active involvement digs, activities and finds
  sessions
• course bursaries

• formal project management structure/timekeeping
• relying on email
• academic vs community style

What next?

• continue to link BME people with the many local
  opportunities integrate with voluntary local
  activities
• inform local archaeology people about BME history
  and events
• project will influence CCE activities

Lessons

• BME people seem just as interested in the
  archaeology of their local area as anyone else
• dont blame them for non-involvement
• dont make assumptions, e.g. that they lack money
  or education
• they have a lot of experience knowledge
• they dont all agree
