  from 15 25 years.
• If there is a disadvantage to laminate flooring
  it is that it cannot be refinished if it suffers
  from serious damage.
• Laminate flooring is also easy to lay, again
  similar to vinyl in that it comes in tiles that
  have a locking mechanism around the edges and
  they click together. So, if you are keen on DIY,
  you could lay laminate flooring yourself. The
  recommended option is floating which means that
  you dont need to glue it to the substrate.
  However, if you are laying over concrete or an
  uneven floor surface, then it is necessary to use
  an appropriate underlay, which should also
  include a damp proof membrane when laying on
  concrete.
