• In Pakistan PVC has found its usage in the
  manufacture of pipes and fittings, wires and
  cables coating, footwear, films, sheets, bottles
  and cans, flooring and profiles

• 68 of PVC consumed is utilized for producing
  pipes, fittings and coatings of wires and cables
• Bulk of PVC requirement is met through imports
• Only one unit producing PVC at an annual capacity
  of about 6000 tons
• Importing about 30,000 tons of PVC p.a worth Rs.
  1 billion
• Consumption is increasing at a growth rate of
  25.
