ABOUT
MamaMuse is a new kind of support system for
parents that challenges limiting beliefs about
motherhood and gender roles that contribute to
women doing 10.9 trillion dollars in unpaid and
under-recognized labor each year around the
world (1.5 trillion for American women). It is
time to share the motherlode and we recognize
that all New Parents in New York need support.
We're rebuilding the classic Mother's Group
program starting with a focus on 6 painful
perinatal experiences that contribute to feelings
of anxiety and anger in new mothers. We shed
light on the failures of American policy makers,
institutions, and culture in providing the
resources, respect, and recognition required for
mothers to be able to meet the guidelines pushed
onto them. We cultivate safe spaces for the
expression of repressed emotions in pursuit of
easing psychic tension and cognitive dissonance
that when unchecked can evolve into serious
health complications.

• Kate and Lucy dreamed of a supportive space that
  could provide the knowledge, wisdom, tools, and
  companionship that is missing for many modern
  mothers. It was from this place that MamaMuse was
  born a reimagining of the mother's group into a
  village that provides community, connection, and
  quality resources for mothers and parents during
  this transformative season of life. Counter to
  our culture, which celebrates the baby and
  undervalues the role of the mother.

WHY INVEST IN PARENTS?
WOMEN MAKE UP HALF OF THE WORKFORCE IN NORTH
AMERICA AND ARE ALSO CONTRIBUTING 1.5 TRILLION
IN UNPAID LABOR ANNUALLY. We navigate
loneliness, information overload, mismatched
expectations, a fragmented maternal care
landscape, and a system that undervalues the
labor of carers. 1 in every 5 of us is diagnosed
with a postpartum depressive disorder and all of
us feel anxious. All caregiving parents need more
support. Despite this reality, there have been
few solutions for helping parents onboard into
this transformative life phase in the same way
that we focus on onboarding for new employees
and technology products.

parents? MamaMuse partners with perinatal and
parenting professionals in the development of
high quality programs. Connect, engage, and
educate people on your vital work by hosting
classes and events with MamaMuse.
BRANDS BUSINESSES There are so many new parents
looking to get out of the house with their
babies! Our groups are looking to enjoy spaces
where they will feel comfortable, to engage with
others like them, and to solve challenges. Do you
