• Cognex provides a full product line of vision
  solutions to meet many of the considerations
  previously discussed. Our newest and most
  exciting product is the In-Sight 2000 vision
  sensor.
• Cognex has been in the machine vision business
  for 19 years and has developed many products and
  applications that have help make our customers
  successful.
• There is the 8000 series of products which are
  highly valued by original equipment manufacturers
  who want to tightly integrate vision into their
  equipment. Semiconductor production equipment is
  a good example of this. These are programmable
  vision engines that you use via a programming
  language such as C.
• The Checkpoint product line was introduced
  several years ago to take advantage of the power
  of MMX Pentium chips. Checkpoint is a
  configurable system that doesnt require any
  programming languages. A Windows based graphical
  user interface makes creating vision applications
  less time consuming and easier for the end user.
• And the newest Cognex product, the In-Sight
  vision sensor is a standalone vision system that
  can be installed right on the production line.
  It is an out-of-the-box solutions that doesnt
  even need a PC to setup or run. Lets take a
  closer at In-Sight.

• The In-Sight vision sensor is an out-of-the-box
  vision solution that can be set up and run as is.
  No PC or programming is required for setup or
  runtime.
• In-Sight uses one of the fastest commercially
  available DSP processors for vision processing
  and runs the latest Cognex vision software.
• The In-Sight camera was designed and developed by
  Cognex specifically for In-Sight. Its a digital
  camera with 640x480 square pixel resolution.
• Setup and running of the In-Sight sensor is
  performed using a hand held control pad very
  similar to ones used in popular video game
  systems.

• Lets take a look at the In-Sight system.
• The processing unit in contained in a compact,
  cast aluminum housing with no moving internal
  parts, such as disk drives or fans, for added
  reliability. Cognex has designed and developed a
  new digital camera specifically for In-Sight.
  This compact camera provides a high quality,
  640x480 image resolution.
• Everything you need to setup and run a vision
  application can be performed using this simple
  control pad. You never need a PC to create an
  In-Sight application.
