• License granting, based on two technical criteria
• assessment of the factories quality control
  system
• testing of products
• Surveillance, the license will be followed up at
  least twice a year by
• factory visit for QC system assessment
• product sampling from factories/market for
  testing
• product sampling for testing each import

• Exception for local factories in case of having
• ISO 9000 certification from CB accredited by NAC,
  the factories will be exempt from the QC system
  assessment
• Lab. accreditation from TLAS, testing results of
  the factories will be acceptable to TISI
• test equipment as required, product testing will
  be carried out at the factories with TISI
  officers as witnesses

• For other cases,
• the quality control system assessment will be
  carried out by TISI
• samples will be taken and sent to TISIs
  authorized laboratories

• Exception for imported product in case of
• foreign factories which have received ISO 9000
  certification, the factories will be exempt from
  the QC system assessment
• product testing has been carried out by
  accredited laboratories, testing results will be
  acceptable to TISI for each import
• provided that ISO 9000 certification bodies
  and/or laboratory accreditation bodies have
  reached MRA with TISI
