Western The Inter-faculty Program in
Linguistics allows students to combine the study
of Linguistics with other Modules to form a UWO
degree. Courses in linguistics that are taught in
a number of departments in the Arts and
Humanities and Social Science faculties can count
towards a Minor or a Major in Linguistics.

component to their studies may do so in one
of two ways - Minor in Linguistics
- Major in Linguistics
5 MINOR IN LINGUISTICS Linguistics may have
the status of a Minor field of study for
students registered in any three or four year
general or honours program at UWO. It is often
taken along with Modules in the Faculty of Arts
and Humanities, the Faculty of Social Science,
MIT programs in the Faculty of Information and
Media Studies and BHSc programs in the Faculty of
Health Sciences.
