Introduction
A new fad is sweeping the fifth grade! Everyone
is trying to collect Explorer Trading Cards. The
Voyage Trading Card Company is looking for
designs for a brand new set of Explorer Trading
Cards. With your group, you will develop a set
of the explorers they currently need. Good luck
and remember, the company is looking for the best
design for its upcoming new set.

Task
You and your group will decide who will research
each of the given explorers. After you have
decided this, use the Internet resources to
discover information about your explorers.
Record this information in a Kidspiration web.
Then use the information to create trading cards
in Microsoft Word. Good luck!

• Decide who will research each of the following
  explorers
• a. Coronado
• Use the Internet Resources to find the following
  information about your explorers
• a. Full name
• b. Dates of Exploration
• c. Sponsoring Country
• d. Reasons for Exploring
• e. Major Discoveries
• f. One Other Interesting Fact
• Create a web in Kidspiration to record your
  findings.
• With your group, use the Trading Card Template to
  create your trading cards. Fill in the required
  information. Include a picture of the explorer
  on the blank side of the card. Pictures will be
  found in your classs folder on the User on
  Aves-library02 (I) drive on the network.
• With the teachers permission, print your cards,
  cut them out, and glue both sides together. Put
  your groups cards in an envelope with group
  members names on it.
