- Description
- Previous Work
- Comparing the data with the real system
- Correcting the data in accordance to the system
- Specifying handicaps
- Redesign
- Aims to solve the problems of the current machine
- Aims to increase the efficiency of the current
machine - Prototyping
- Ordering/manufacturing of the necessary parts
- Assembly
- Conclusion

- When we compared the real system with the data we
acquired we realised there are some
inconsistancies - Differences in profile sizes
- Differences in thruss sizes
- Differences in joints
- Specifying the handicaps
- Pitch of the labeling mechanizm
- Pitch of the track chain
- Vibration of the labeling head
- Blocking and asymetrical trusses
- Problems with the labeling of small cloth pieces
5Refine/Redesign Automated Fabric Labeler Project
- After specifying the problems we first
concantrated on improving the current system to
solve the problems - Redesigning the outer frame
- Improving the structure of the labeling head
- Redesigning of the blocking and asymetrical
trusses - New designs
- To improve the efficiency new sensors and motors
are invastigated - To solve the problem with the labeling of the
small cloth pieces, a conveyor system is designed - Finite element analysis and simulation

- Two profiles at the back are replaced with new
ones. - Two side supports were added.
- Two more piston is added to the design.
- The plate is modified and sended to laser
cutting. - Inner trust design is changed.
- All steel parts were sended to laser cutting.
- The labeling mechanism is stabilized. Does not
tremble anymore. - The control loop was changed.

- CONCLUSION
- ACCOMPLISHED WORKS
- Main problems of the machine are solved
- Carrefully designed trusses stabilized the
machine - Deformation and stresses on the machine are
minimized - Reaching the printer and labeling mechanism
became much easier - The conveyor system made it possible to work with
small pieces of cloth. - Two more pistons are added to use the conveyor
system.
20Refine/Redesign Automated Fabric Labeler Project
- The vibrationin the labeling head is minimized to
increase the efficiency - Forces on the machine are analysed to find
stresses and deformation - Adams simulation of the machine is done
- For the ease of transportation, wheels are
mounted under the carrier mechanism - After all these redesigning processes, there is
an ocular increase in the effiency of the machine
21Refine/Redesign Automated Fabric Labeler Project
- What could not be done?
- The conveyor system could not be tested because
of four weeks delay of ordered parts - and their mistake in the sizes of some
parts. - The laser sensor could not be acquired because of
its high price.
