3Course of Studies
The course of studies in Electrical Engineering
is divided in two levels
- First Level Degree - Laurea di 1 livello
- 3 year program organized in two curricula
- Curriculum passante
- Curriculum professionalizzante
- Second Level Degree - Laurea Specialistica
4Modules and Credits
- The courses are organized in modules (classes)
- One module comprises
- 40 hours of lesson
- a certain number of credits (ECTS, 5 credits in
average) - Each module requires a final exam
- The required overall credits for the laurea di 1
livello is 180
5First Year of Engineering
- It is common to all the Engineering degrees
- It is mostly formed by exams of math, physics,
computer science, economy, foreign language
An advantage of this system is that students can
change Engineering Area without loosing time and
credits
6First Level Degree Laurea di 1 Livello
- This Degree allows the studens to enter the
business world with specific knowledge and high
preparation. - To complete the laurea di 1o livello is necessary
to acquire 180 credits distributed between
foundamental courses, and complementary
activities as English language, Communication
and Business Culture. - The students also acquire credits by
accomplishing an internship in Industry or in a
Corporation that has an agreement with the
University - The complete list of all available courses
(english version) can be found http//web.uniud.i

8Curriculum Professionalizzante
- This curriculum allows the students to acquire
expertise in one of the three following areas - Industrial Automation
- Electronic Design
- Communication Networks
9Second Level DegreeLaurea Specialistica
- To complete the Laurea Specialistica it is
necessary to acquire - 300 credits, that can be gained by adding
- 120 additional ECTS to the 180 ECTS from the
Laurea di 1 Livello - The complete list of all available courses

12Labs
- The Faculty of Engineering is equipped with many
laboratories for educational activities - The Basic Educational Lab, for basic training,
offers a network of 60 working places each one
equipped with one PC, most common software tools
and internet access. - The Advanced Educational Lab, for advanced
training, is equipped with 35 latest generation
workstation, and allows students to implement
practical experience. - The Electronics Lab, equipped with 35 workbenches
for a variety of lab activities (simulation and
measurement) in the field of electronics, industria
l automation, communications, electronic system
design, etc.
13Electronic Laboratory
Intense activities in the lab are part of the
course of studies in Electrical Engineering
14Nel laboratorio vengono progettati, ottimizzati,
misurati e collaudati dispositivi elettronici di
dimensioni inferiori a un millesimo di millimetro
(micron)
15(No Transcript)
16 Memory Flash EEPROM
17La ricerca in elettronica di potenza
Sviluppo di sistemi di alimentazione in diversi
settori partendo dalla piccola potenza (1-100W)
(alimentazione per lampade, cellulari, PC
portatili, etc..) a quella di media-alta potenza
(10-200kW) (alimentazione per azionamenti
industriali, trazione, sistemi di compensazione
per la qualità dellenergia, etc)
18CLAV Audio-Visual Language Centre
The Audio visual Language Centre organises
courses at various levels throughout the academic
year. Labs and tutors are available for
students. The course are held by mother tongue
teachers.
