frame . The order in this site is adapted to the
organizational needs of our infrastructure and
not to a course.

shows where you are. You can use any earlier
entry as an hyperlink to travel to previously

Announcement Page

• The announcement page is defaulted to
  View Today .
• A view from the following options may be
  selected
• View Today announcement of the current day or
  announcement still current
• View Week announcement of the current week.
• View Month view the announcement of the current
  month.
• View All View the display of all announcements.
• (next slide indicates where you will find this
  command )

What is in the announcement ?

• The announcements provide details for important
  information about our organization, such as
  meetings dates, changes taking places or
  deadlines or any other topic dealing with our
  general organization.

• The design explains how we as a team of
  science teachers in Vermilion parish will use
  blackboard to improve our communication therefore
  enhancing team teaching and efficacy

• The tool button will permit to have access or
  share useful information such as
• 1)The digital drop box The Digital Drop Box is
  a tool that the Instructor and Students can use
  to exchange files. The Digital Drop Box works by
  uploading a file from a disk or a computer to a
  depository. Files can be sent back and forth from
  the Instructors Drop Box to the Drop Box of
  other users in the course.
• 2) Edit your home page modify your teacher home
  page
• 3) Personal information create your home page
• 4) Calendar Very important info for the year
• 5) View grades NA

• 6. Student manual help menu concerning your use
  of blackboard
• 7. tasks A user can create tasks and post them
  to the Tasks page. Each user can post personal
  tasks to their page, Instructors and Managers can
  post tasks to users participating in their
  courses and organizations, and System
  Administrators can post tasks to all users Tasks
  pages. Task information is arranged in columns
  that display the priority, task name, status, and
  due date.
• 8. Electronic blackboard allows users to save
  notes within the blackboard system and review
  them later as needed
• 9. Address book Users can store contact
  information in the Address Book. Users must enter
  a profile for anyone they wish to add to their
  address book

• This is an area where you will find topics where
  we can share input. The information concerning a
  topics is delivered by a short introduction ,some
  links on the web, some links to files or folders
  containing files.
• The topics will change and depends of your needs.
• Your feedback will be used for the choice and
  order of appearance of the topics.
• The next slides present some example of the
  topics of interest.

Discussion board

• The discussion board is the essential component
  of our site. It will permit us to share ideas and
  files concerning our topic of interest.
• It is a great tool as it will permit us to access
  all opinions, sharing on a given topic and for us
  to answer to each other.
• As shown on the next slides, most topics are the
  same as what is in Events.

• As you are able to see in the previous slide, the
  format allows us to have sorted input on topic of
  interest.
• Everyone is invited to participate.
• The first topic invite for your suggestions
  concerning choice of topics.
• All other topics invite you to formulate your
  concern, opinion or share what you developed for
  the benefit of all.

  choice of professional development
• Each survey takes less than 5mn to complete, just
  click the link in the discussion panel.
• Note that all survey contains at the end an open
  box where you can type, your wishes as the survey
  might not answer your needs or your comments on
  a point you want to emphasize .
