  • Arapahoe Community College College and
    workforce ready individuals must have basic
    literacy skills in reading, writing and speaking,
    along with basic numeracy and a basic
    understanding of scientific methods. They should
    have the willingness, ability and flexibility to
    learn, including the ability to operate within a
    system be capable of time management be willing
    to accept personal responsibility and
    accountability and have a curiosity and
    understanding about their own and other cultures.
    Listed below are more specific descriptions.
  • Colorado Northwestern Community College High
    school graduates who are ready for post-secondary
    education and the workforce can communicate
    effectively and without distracting errors. They
    can apply, analyze, and synthesize information as
    well as locate, evaluate, and use source
    material. They can present and support their
    ideas with relevant and sufficient evidence, and
    they are tolerant of alternative viewpoints. They
    can use their knowledge of mathematics and the
    sciences to identify and solve practical
    problems. They understand and practice integrity,
    and they understand and accept the consequences
    and responsibilities of their actions.
  • Community College of Aurora Students graduating
    from high school should be proficient in basic
    language, math, science and computer skills. 
    Along with these, students should be able to make
    the most of their academic skills in their future
    by applying them in new academic and career
    situations. The goal of their education should be
    to give them the ability to collect information,
    evaluate it critically, use that analysis to aid
    in the solution of academic and work related
    problems, as well as present their solutions in
    both written and oral form.
  • Community College of Denver Students must
    demonstrate readiness for college level work by
    meeting all state established cut scores for
    college level English, reading and mathematics.
