Test Taking Tips

• Being prepared is more than half the battle.
• Visualize Success and be prepared
• Visualize yourself doing well and reaching your
  goals.
  
• Learning and reviewing the objectives is very
  important.
  
• Complete all assigned activities and ask your
  instructor for feedback.

• Take care of yourself
• Make sure you have had a meal prior to taking
  your test.
  
• Make sure youve had plenty of sleep the night
  before.
  
• Also, avoid caffeine which increases anxiety.

Test Taking Tips

• Practice relaxing
• Do some relaxation exercises prior to taking the
  test to make sure you are calm and thinking as
  clearly as possible.
  
• If you become anxious or frustrated during a
  test, close your eyes, take three deep breaths,
  and then back to the task.

Basic Exam Information

• Be on time.
• There is usually no talking permitted during a
  test.
  
• If the test is administered by computer, and you
  have a problem with your computer, raise your
  hand to get the proctors attention.

• Skip questions you are not sure about and go back
  to them later.
  
• Manage your time during a test. If you dont
  finish a test you will usually be scored on the
  questions that you answered or the steps that
  you completed to that point. All the incomplete
  questions or steps will be counted as incorrect.

• Review all questions and procedural steps for
  completeness before turning in your work.
  
• At TBC a final score of 70 equals a C-. That is
  the minimum score for a prerequisite class.
