- Detailed analysis of all Dual Sided Trade Reports
booked on Saturday- - 427 trade reports booked 231 Successful, and
these span the full range of solution providers,
therefore there appears to be no major
fundamental issues - Dual sided trade reports issues highlighted-
- Invalid trade details entered (80) rejected due
to - - Conflicting trade times, trade request include
seconds, approval had 00 and am versus pm hours - Conflicting settlement dates, trade request had
future date, confirmation had current date.
Remember that BDA determines the settlement date - Conflicting bargain conditions, trade request
populated, confirmation not - Converted price indicator differences. This is
the rand indicator and the default should be N,

13Decommissioning of Systems
- The following JSE systems will be decommissioned
effective 13 May 2002- - JET (including MarketWorks and related reports)
- JET API
- JET API test environment
- JETFeed
- Tricklefeed
- Equity Dealing (EDL)
- Equity Clearing House (ECH)
- Position frozen as at Friday 10 May 2002
- Settlement will broker to broker
- Currently 26 still open, mostly related to Kruger
rands - Clearing Settlement will assist with queries,

14Decommissioning of Systems
- JET Software Cleanup
- All Members and Institutions must ensure that all
copies of JET MarketWorks software and all user
manuals, etc. are destroyed or returned to the
JSE by 20 May 2002 - Members and Institutions should send the
certificate to the JSE confirming this, by close
of business on 25 May 2002. (JSE to provide
certificate template)
15Trader IDs
- Members have been provided with trader reports
after each dress rehearsal. Members must please
confirm all registered securities ids for Go
Live by no later than close of business on
Wednesday 8 May 2002 - All RST IDs on the trader reports provided,
flagged as - - O order entry and will be retained post 13
May 2002 - R redundant and will be deleted on the 10 May
2002. These users will then have to re-write the
JSE trader exams to qualify as registered
securities traders. - ONLY compliance officers can request changes to
trader ids - Compliance officers to send all confirmations to
jsespec_at_jse.co.za
16End of Day Dissemination System
- Equity Dissemination
- From 13 May, No arbitrage cumulative volumes
available (except in the monthly record types for
the month of May 2002) - Ruling price replaced by auction closing price
- Indices
- FTSE takes over the calculation of the current
JSE Indices - Clients commence receiving the new indices
products (Valuation, Constituents Tracker).
These will contain ALL the current and new
indices series - Clients continue to receive certain current
indices real time record types. These will
contain the current indices, and ONLY 6 of the
new indices (TOP40, RESI20, INDI25, FINI15,
FINDI30 AND MIDCAP) - Indices files will be available via the current
FTP process

18Customer Support
- Normal Customer Support hours will apply for all
JSE Applications from 07h00 to 19h00 - Additional on site support will be provided
during the transition period to include support
for the start-of-day downloads between 06h00 and
07h00 - Additional SOD on site support will be available
for 4 weeks post 13 May, normal support hours
will then come into effect - JSE SETS and InfoWiz account managers will be
assigned to users over the transition period as
per the dress rehearsals. These will apply for
2-3 weeks from the go live date depending on the

7777 - Patience will be required as both Front Office
and Back Office queries will be handled by the
same support team - JSE will provide first line front-end
functionality support for all TALX clients - We will make use of the JSE Extranet messages
over the transition period as per dress
rehearsals. Kindly ensure you monitor these
messages
19Problem Reporting
To assist with effective problem resolution,
Users must provide accurate details when
reporting the query/problem to the JSE helpdesk -
- Is it a JSE SETS or InfoWiz query?
- USAP Code faster resolution and tracking with
the LSE - Is it your primary/secondary/DRP connection?
- Which Front-End Software?
- What Front-End Version, if applicable?
- Which Segment and Instrument the query relates to
- Provide order code and trade code where possible
- Time of order entry / trade execution
- Order details namely, Order type, price, volume
- Your name and contact number for feedback
- Print out of configuration files

- User Cut-over checklist items to be considered-
- Remember to shutdown JET API interfaces, remove
daily startup automation - Preset BDA account codes to ensure all 7 digits
are submitted on all orders and trades - Preset Trader IDs to ensure all 5 digits are
submitted on all orders and trades - Preset CX flag defaults to N
- Preset Rand Indicator defaults to N (settlement
in a different currency to ZAR) - Ensure all front-end users understand your
specific system limitations e.g Cannot cater for
contra trades, reduce queries - Ensure all front-end users understand your first
line support structures I.e Contact software
providers for front-end specific functionality
queries not the JSE - Ensure all traders are on site early on Monday
morning to prepare for the open auction
22Front-End Preparation
- User Cut-over checklist items to be considered-
- The JET GTC parameter is being reduced daily this
week so that no orders remain in JET at close of
business on Friday 10 May. Traders must note
order details on JET on Friday afternoon as
required before shutting down - JET will NOT be available on Monday for reference
and JET OPEN orders are NOT being carried over to
JSE SETS - Verify all BDG subscriptions and related
configurations. DO NOT request data you are not
enabled for - Host to Host users must ensure procedures are in
place to upload as required Friday 10 May closing
prices. If you do not intend to upload these,
ensure traders are aware and have the required
closing prices for the open auction on Monday - TALX users will be provided a dictionary file on
Saturday afternoon. Users will need to test
these on Sunday between 09h00 10h00. Procedures
and testing of this will occur in CDS tomorrow.

23Data for Go Live
- As JSE business processes kicked in on 29 April
2002, JSE reference data will be as at close of
business on 10 May 2002 - Users must do a FULL download on morning of Go
Live thereafter make use of B11 for daily
updates only. If you choose to use B11 your
application must be listening to the BDG for the
full time that the service is available - Full downloads MUST be done after JSE public
holidays - All Instruments suspensions as at the 10 May 2002
will be loaded to the JSE reference data by the
LSE on Friday evening. The suspension effective
dates will therefore be 10 May in the reference
data even though a share was suspended prior to
that. - All instrument effective dates in JSE SETS will
be 10 May 2002 as this is when they became
effective in the new system - Closing prices as at close of business on Friday
10 May 2002 will be used for Go Live. NB
Official Closing prices as published in EOD

24Data for Go Live
- Reminder BDG J20 JSE Orders will have no data on
Monday morning as there is no existing order book - Start of day downloads commence at 06h00 daily in
the live environment - Users wishing to subscribe to daily change
records must ensure their systems are listening
during all valid service hours - Start of day re-requests will be strictly
monitored in the first 2 weeks. Users must
exercise caution and MUST NOT do full start of
day download intra day without the JSE permission - All Go live index closing values, divisors and
market capitalisation as well as shares in issue
will be available on the JSE website on Saturday
morning
