26Prairie Harvest Employment Program
- Curbside Recycling Services
- in operation since December 2005
27Prairie Harvest Employment Program
Clients in the Employment Program pick up blue
boxes filled with recyclables at curbside.
28Collected material is sorted and then deposited
at the Kinsmen Recycling Centre.
29Prairie Harvest Employment Program
The Employment Program is funded by Service
Canada Saskatchewan Department of Advanced,
Employment and Labour recycling levy of
1.00/month paid by Yorkton tax payers.
30Prairie Harvest Employment Program
The program target is 80 of Yorkton households
or 4000 bins. Presently, 2400 households have
blue boxes. The employees pick up 400 bins a
day. The program operates 4 days a week.
