- Wallem Shipbroking (WSB) is the oldest of part of
the Wallem Group. Over the decades Wallem
Shipbroking has developed into a leading
international Shipbroking company. - Today, the Wallem Shipbroking team consists of 13
persons and is focusing on the following core
activities - Projects and Sale Purchase
- Chartering
- Operations
- With our dry bulk chartering team we entered into
a JV with Vogemann of Hamburg early 2005. As such
we can better serve both our European and Far
East accounts for tonnage and cargoes. Further we
have an additional chartering office in Taiwan
specialized in dry bulk, chemical and heavy lift
cargoes.

the years with yards, trading houses, equity
funds, bankers and emission houses which are the
key to our success putting together projects. - Further we can offer the logical synergies within
the Wallem Group, if and when required by the
client and or technical management in general and
Wallem GMBH specifically for the German KG
market, newbuilding supervision and pre-purchase
surveys are an additional advantage enabling us
to approach projects from a large number of
angles. - In any project we undertake, one or more of the
following services are combined - Newbuilding contracting, resale or purchase of
vessel - Finance arrangement of equity, mezzanine and
loans - Commercial management, long term employment or
spot trading - Technical management, Crewing, Insurance
- Newbuilding supervision and pre purchase surveys
5Dry cargo chartering is serving a multitude of
clients worldwide. The main focus is Handy to
Cape size with cargoes traded Intra-Asia or with
an Asian destination. Apart from our brokers in
Hong Kong office we have a broker working in
Shanghai who has daily contact with traders in
China. A further step to strengthen our position
in the market is the joint venture with Vogemann
Wallem Vogemann Dry Cargo Chartering (HK) Ltd
based in Hong Kong. This partnership brings on
board further dry cargo chartering experience
from Europe and direct relationships with
European grain houses. Further we are proud of
our long term relationship with Setaf Saget, who
have an in house representation of 2 chartering
staff in our WSB office.

only, however full operational support in order
to keep track of the vessels positions,
nominations, and payments is equally important.
Our operational team is very service orientated
and provides timely and accurate follow up of all
fixtures.

Wallem Shipmanagements team, headquartered in
Hong Kong and supported by offices around the
world, has some of the most experienced and
dedicated staff in the industry. We have been
leaders in establishing a permanent place for
professional ship management within an industry
that has undergone many fundamental changes over
the last three decades. As each principal places
a vessel or fleet in our care, a Fleet Manager
and Fleet Team is assigned. Their job is to
understand the requirements of the Owner or
Charterer and be aware of the operational issues
associated with each vessel. Presently managing
about 200 vessels Wallem Agencies provides
comprehensive agency services through a network
of nineteen offices in eight countries and
territories between Singapore and Japan. No
matter what the requirement is multi-service
liner representation, luxury cruise ship call,
bulk loading or discharge, etc., Wallem is fully
resourced to provide excellent and cost-effective
services at all times.
8Wallem Group Information Systems Department
Started with the implementation of its first
mainframe computer in 1974. Today Wallem employs
over 50 IT professionals in support of the
Groups customers and internal IT needs. In
2000, Wallem established an off shore development
facility in Clark Special Economic Zone,
Philippines, DevCo. This enabled Wallem to
leverage highly skilled and cost effective
resources to the benefit Groups customers. This
company is now not only serving the Group and its
customers but also has a growing list of maritime
related software development customers in its own
right. Main products TRS (web based ships
condition reporting tool) and TPS (e-procurement
system)
