Graduation Requirements

• Look at your transcript this is an official
  document
• Check spelling of your name and address
• Be sure all your classes are on your transcript.
• P on transcript indicates course is on a-g list
  and is college prep

Graduation Requirements

• College/online courses (taken from an accredited
  high school or college) are only added to
  transcript if required for graduation or to meet
  minimum a-g requirements. Must be pre-approved by
  Director/Counselor see new District Policy.
• Students are responsible for making sure they
  meet all graduation requirements
• Students must investigate whether courses meet
  college entrance requirements

• DHS catalog has two four year planners.
• One is for graduation requirements (page 6)
• One is for four-year college prep (page 7)
• Please bring these charts with you when you come
  to see your Counselor regarding scheduling or
  graduation concerns.

• UC and CSU systems have almost identical
  requirements. Refer to cross-reference chart
  provided.
• May meet most private college requirements
• All classes have a P in title
• C or higher in A-G courses

• SAT Reasoning Test or ACT with writing for UCs
  and without writing for CSUs
• Plus two SAT Subject Tests required for UCs in
  two different subject areas
• Sign up now for testing dates this spring, you
  can test up until Nov. of senior year.

• Prerequisites listed
• Teacher approval required for AP and Honors and

• We recommend no more than two AP or Honors
  courses per semester

• Do not sign up for auditioned music courses. You
  will be placed following audition.
• Please do not sign up for a class where you have
  not met the prerequisites..
• If you do not return a completed planner by the
  due date (3/10), classes may be selected for you!

Summer School

• Complete the application and have parent/guardian
  sign it-
• List the course or courses youre signing up for
  on the planner. Course primarily for remediation
  only- not to get ahead on credits.
• DV students should not take US Gov or Econ.
• Please notify the Summer school office if you
  need to drop a class so those on the waiting list
  can secure a spot.

• Open to students with 2.7 GPA 16 yrs old
• Counselor/parent signatures needed.
• Please see handout provided for complete course
  list and course expectations.
• You may request the college class on DV Planner
  now register in the Fall

  Peer Helpers, Recruitment, etc.
• Sports- DV Ultimate Frisbee

• Appts for Counselor consultation are available

  completed Planner Request form, (use pencil), and
