Daywise Itinerary
Colombo - Bentota/Mirissa/Weligama (Approx 2.5
Hrs) Arrive at Bandaranaike International
Airport. Meet our representative on arrival and
transfer from Airport to Bentota/Mirissa/Weligama.
Bentota lies at the finishing end of the
"Golden Mile" which is an hour's drive from
Colombo. Famous for it's prime beaches Bentota is
today one of Sri Lanka's most sought after
tourist destinations. The town of Bentota
actually, sits on an estuary, where the river and
the sea meet. This makes the area quite famous
for water sports like windsurfing, scuba diving
and snorkeling. Enjoy your day at the golden
beaches and enjoy the thrilling water sports.
Day 1
Bentota/ Mirissa/Bentota Heard This ? Blue
Whales "The Biggest Creature Ever to Have Lived
on Earth" So today is the day when you will see
them for yourself - The Time for Your Own 'WHALE
- TALE'! Transfer to Mirissa for a thrilling day
ahead where you site Whales, Dolphin families and
Gigantic Sea Turtles. Blue whales (Balaenoptera
musculus) are the largest animals ever known to
have lived on Earth. These giant marine mammals
length up to 100 feet (30 meters) and upwards of
200 tons. Blue whales are baleen whales, they
have "baleen plates" instead of teeth.Baleen, is
made of keratin just like fingernails and hair.
Each whale has many plates that hang down from
its upper jaw, one after the other. and it's diet
is small crustaceans known as krill, in the
surface their coloring is more a mottled
blue-gray and it has small dorsal fin. , blue
whales have twin blowholes and spout just
straight surface 10-25 seconds and deep dive.
Surface again my take 10-15minutes according to
its moving, when it's feeding it comes to
surface often normally it can be seen the fluke
when it deep dives.

Bentota/ Mirissa/Weligama - Colombo (Approx 2
Hrs) Have breakfast and depart for Colombo. Later
enjoy a city tour of Colombo which is the largest
city and former administrative capital of Sri
Lanka and is a busy and vibrant city with a
mixture of modern life and remnants of a bygone
colonial era. Due to its large harbor and its
strategic position along the east-west sea trade
routes, Colombo was known to ancient traders
2,000 years ago. However it was only made the
capital of the island when Srilanka was ceded to
the British Empire in 1815. The main city is home
to a majority of the Sri Lanka's corporate
offices, restaurants and entertainment venues.
On this tour you will visit many of the
historical, religious and commercial sites of
Colombo including the historic and bustling fort
and pettah, the elite residential cinnamon
gardens, the Galle face green, Viharamahadevi
Park and much more. Evening to enjoy shopping and
night life at Colombo
