GearTrade.com was founded in 1999, in Provo, Utah
by a group of outdoor enthusiasts and
entrepreneurs who saw a need for an outdoor gear
marketplace. In 2005, GearTrade was purchased
by John Bresee and Jim Holland, the founders of
Backcountry.com to continue pursuing the reuse of
gear. GearTrade is based out of Park City, Utah
by a small group of skiers, mountain bikers and
snowboarders. If you're heading this way, let us
