Enrollment

• Continuous Enrollment
• Student must be enrolled the semester in which
  they complete project, thesis, or dissertation
• Registration and Withdrawals
• Requests for retroactive registration and
  withdrawals are strongly discouraged

Grading

• I grades must be negotiated with student
• I grades must be removed within 6 weeks of next
  semester
• D grades are not allowed
• There are no replacement grades all grades are
  used to calculate GPA

CHANGE OF PROGRAM

• Change of Program forms that do not have ALL
  appropriate signatures will not be processed
• Form must include conditions associated with
  admission to new department.

Change of Grades

• Change of Grade form must be submitted in a
  timely manner
• Change From section must be completed
• Form must be signed
• Justification must be clear and appropriate

Plan of Graduate Work

• Should be submitted to GS during the semester in
  which the students completes 15 credit hours
• Departments must give the student a copy of the
  form and keep a copy at the department
• Provisional requirements must be removed

Transfer of Credit

• Must Include official transcript
• Should be submitted along with Plan of Work

Academic Probation

• The NCAT Graduate Catalog states on page 27-28
• When a students grade point average (GPA) falls
  below 3.0 he/she will be warned and informed that
  he/she must raise the GPA to 3.0 in the next two
  terms in residence.
• Students failing to do so will be dismissed from
  the School of Graduate Studies and no further
  registration in a graduate classification will be
  permitted.

Dismissal (Present)

• More than 9 hours of less than B grades
• Three semesters of less than 3.00 GPA

Dismissal (2005)

• Nine (9) hours of less than B grades
• Not improving the accumulative GPA above 3.00
  within 9 semester hours after being placed on
  Probation

• Application due dates with fees
• Must be a student the semester of graduation
• Thesis defense and print copy due dates
• Final Clearance Check Sheet
• International Students
• 50 700 Level courses needed to complete
  graduation

Comprehensive Examination (788 Course)

• Students must be registered during the semester
  in which they plan to take the comprehensive
  examination
• Student must register for the appropriate
  department 788 course
