5National IAPT
- Leeds PCT is one of 4 PCTs in our region that has
been given funding to become an IAPT expansion
site from this year (08/09). - Funding is to train and pay for new low and high
intensity workforce - We want to build on the success of what we have,
whilst building in the requirements of the
national IAPT programme
6The vision for the common mental health
pathway/IAPT service is
- to have comprehensive coverage across the city
over layered with some more focussed provision
that will help ensure equal access to some harder
to reach groups in the community
7We will need to
- Maintain the concept of a single point of access
to the system - Ensure that there is a cohesive shared identity
for all providers commissioned to deliver
services within the pathway - That providers work together cooperatively and
flexibly to ensure service users needs are met
appropriately and in a timely manner - Choices are available for service users
