The perpetual Paithanis

• From the land of Paithan, Paithani saris comprise
  of pure gold threads and yarns of silk spun in a
  2000-year old traditional method. Historically
  called Pratishthana, Paithan was the capital of
  the Satavahanas of ancient India and during that
  era, Paithani weave was so famous that Greek
  traders visited India for it and the Romans
  imported this gold woven fabric in exchange for
  gold of equal weight! Glory of Maharastra,
  these Paithani sarees are considered holy in
  Indian tradition because of the use of silk,
  which has a special importance especially in
