Beginning of the Field Trip to Romolo Chocolates

• This is the bus that will take us on a field trip
  to Romolo Chocolate factory. Along with the
  chocolate factory, we will visit Frontier Park
  and Marketplace Grill.

At the Romolo Chocolate Factory

• The tour began with a talk about how chocolate is
  made and how they use the chocolate to make other
  candies. We learned a lot!!

Tasty Strawberries

• Here are the chocolate- covered strawberries that
  they make at Romolos. They look very tasty!!

Speaking to Mr. Stefanelli

• Mr. Stefanelli talked to us about how his family
  makes sponge candy. It is a special candy
  because it is made only in Erie, PA and Buffalo,
  NY. It was invented by accidentally adding too
  much of a certain ingredient.

Looks Like a Chocolate Sponge

• What is crunchy and yellow inside, chocolate on
  the outside and melts in your mouth? Its not a
  sponge-its sponge candy and boy, did we love it!

Romolo Chocolates

• Here we have some things Romolo Chocolate factory
  makes chocolate bars, chocolate-covered
  pretzels, chocolate-covered almonds, peanut
  butter cups, chocolate-covered raisins and other
  yummy treats!

Fun at Frontier Park

• At Frontier Park, we played on the playground.
  After that, we walked around the park and saw
  many different kinds of trees with signs naming
  them. The Labyrinth was fun! It took a long time
  to get around and it was hard to figure out! We
  rested at the Virtual Tree Gazebo.

The Food Was Yummy!

• Marketplace Grille was a great place to eat. The
  inside of the restaurant was fancy. All of us
  ate a lot of food. Most people really liked the
  garlic bread. The pizza was delicious.
  Everything was so good.

CONCLUSIONS

• The sponge candy was delicious.
• Most people liked the almond candy.
• We saw the process for making the almond candy.
• We ate the candy while we walked at Frontier
  Park.
• When we talked at the Virtual Tree Gazebo, we
  heard echoes.
• We enjoyed the Labyrinth.
