What is does it do?

• Metasearch enables simultaneous searching of
  multiple databases from a single interface
• NISO standard in development
• Most vendors on board (EBSCO, CSA, ProQuest,
  Chadwyck, SilverPlatter, Gale, OCLC)
• Some hold-outs (LexisNexis)
• Often targeted to novice users
• Also serves as a portal for e-resources
