Title: The Undivided Worshipper
1The Undivided Worshipper
Psalm 8611... Teach me your way, O LORD, and I
will walk in your truth give me an undivided
heart, that I may fear your name.
2Examples of Jesus' Undivided Worship
Some distractions are well intended Matthew
1622 Peter took him aside and began to rebuke
him. "Never, Lord!" he said. "This shall never
happen to you!"
3Some Distractions Are Obvious/Subtle.
John 1811 Jesus commanded Peter, "Put your
sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the Father
has given me?"
4Some Distractions Require an Attack.
Mark 1115-17 On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus
entered the temple area and began driving out
those who were buying and selling there. He
overturned the tables of the
5money changers and the benches of those selling
doves, and would not allow anyone to carry
merchandise through the temple courts. And as he
taught them, he said, "Is it not written " 'My
house will be called a house of prayer for all
nations'? But you have made it 'a den of
robbers.'"
6James 127... Religion that God our Father
accepts as pure and faultless is this to look
after orphans and widows in their distress and to
keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
