Characteristics
In the Desert there are many animal like coyotes,
lizards, and snakes. The most common animals
found on the desert are insects, reptiles, birds,
rodents, and some mammals. They have adapted to
the climate in order to survive. The desert is
dry and hot with very little rainfall.They get
less than 10 inches of rain each year.Common
plants are agaves, cacti, and yuccas.
Temperatures can reach over 110 degrees F.

They can cut their tails off and grow new ones.

The desert is a land of extreme heat and extreme
dryness. The desert can get to ten inches of
precipitation a year. Deserts are a harsh
environment, they even have names like the Death
Valley.

In the desert they use camels, cars, and
elephants because they dont want to walk on
their feet. Jeeps are also used to drive over
the rough land.

People who live in the desert wear light clothing
because it is so hot. They wear light colors and
items that cover their skin because the sun is so
intense. Some people wear shorts, light shirts,
and sandals.
