Background Information

• Dinosaurs roamed the Earth for over 165 years.
  There were flying dinosaurs, others walked, and
  some swam. There were small dinosaurs and huge
  dinosaurs.

Carnivores

• Meat eating dinosaurs
• The largest meat eating dinosaur was
  Tyrannosaurus Rex.
• T-Rex was almost as tall as a giraffe.

Herbivores

• Triceratops was one of the largest ceratopsians
  and was one of the last to become extinct.
• Triceratops ate mostly plants and leaves.

What did they eat?

• Some dinosaurs ate plants, flowers, and leaves.
• Some dinosaurs ate other dinosaurs.
• The dinosaurs that swam ate things in the water,
  like small fish.

• They were pretty small in size at this time.

• T-Rex and Triceratops ruled the Earth during this
  period. Other mammals were also appearing and
  plants and flowers developed as well.
