8Snow Days
On Snow Days the local radio stations, 92 MOOSE
and WABK will be announcing If the childcare
program is opening. If weather Conditions are too
extreme we will not risk the safety of our
employees to open childcare. Snow Day care will
begin at 700 a.m. or later depending on the
road conditions.

11SUMMER INFORMATION
- Summer Care is located at Farrington School
- Facility is licensed for 100 children.
- Maintain 101 staff ratio to accommodate special
needs children. - Cost is 100 per week per child
- Each week has a Theme and the group goes on an
out-of-town excursion to a State Park. - Where the program is in a school it can only be
offered for part of the summer because the school
needs to be able to clean the space for the start
of school.

13Budget Information
- The Childcare Bureau is a Special Revenue
account. - The Childcare Bureau is self-supporting
- The Childcare Bureau receives 24,046.00 from
DHHS for Child Care Slots. Which is 6 of the
total budget - Private parent fees make up 94 of the budget.
- Largest expenses in budget are for staffing,
supplies, snacks, and summer transportation.
14Staffing requirements for a Licensed Childcare
Center
- Must maintain a 131 Staff to child ratio
- Staff must be 18 years old
- Staff must be CPR/First Aide certified
- Lincoln and Farrington are licensed for 100
children Gilbert for 70. - Must have SBI and Child Protective background
check - If born after 1956 must provide Immunization
records - Must have 18 hours of training per year if they
work 20 hours or less per week and 30 hours of
training if they work over 20 hours per week. - To be a Site Supervisor an Associate Degree in
Early Care and Education is recommended.
