Service Lifts in the Wind Industry

• Used for maintenance purposes only
• Used only periodically
• Technicians are trained for use
• Technicians are equipped with safety apparel and
  gear to ensure safe ascent and descent

• Assessment of elevator and escalator for
  conformance with A17.7/B44.7 to establish
  equivalent safety to the requirements of
  A17.1/B44
• Post-release surveillance of the manufacture of
  approved designs of systems so that they continue
  to meet the requirements of A17.7/B44.7
  throughout the product life cycle
