Well, heres to a Happy New Year. Lets try to
make this year one to remember. Try to attend
all of those events.it will be the last
competitions youll enter in the 20th Century!!!
This event will run for the first time on Sunday
April 11. Entry forms for this event will be
distributed with next months Events News.

The Areas premier event takes place this month.
There are separate categories for this Ranking
event - Kyu grade Men Women and Veteran Men
Women. Entries for this competition must be in by
Monday 25 January 1999. For further information,

Calendar Of Events
Combined Promotion Examinations
The 1999 North West Area Calendar Of Events is
now finalised and a copy is included with this
months Events News. There are likely to be
modifications to this as time goes by but we will
notify you of any changes through Events News.
In line with the new BJA Junior Grading System
that is being introduced in April, the area will
be combining all sections of gradings onto one
day. On this day, all Junior grades will be
processed as well as Kyu and Dan Grades. The
first of these combined examinations will be held
at Middleton Recreation Centre on Sunday 16th
May. There will also be a Kyu/Dan P.E. on Sunday
7th February and a Junior P.E. on Sunday 21st
February. These events will NOT be combined.

still in the process of building much of the site
