ESP What is does?

    with the vehicles actual course
  • Detects any differences

engine power to help keep vehicle on intended path

11
2008 Charger MagnumStability Control NHTSA
  • NHTSA has found that cars equipped with a
stability control system reduce single car
crashes by 35 and fatal single car crashes by
    30
  • In all modes of ESP, ABS and Brake Assist are not
    affected

12
ESP Continued . . .
  • Because of these findings many agencies and our
PAB requested that ESP Full Off mode be removed
    from future models

    have 2 stage ESP

13
2008 Charger Magnum
  • Important Note
  • No system can repel the laws of physics or
    overcome careless driving actions. Performance
    is limited by available traction.

14
Brake Concerns
  • The brake package has been modified to address
the field issues experienced with early
production vehicles. The improved package has
new linings and redesigned front calipers for
brake wear, reduced brake dust and noise. This
change took effect in late 2007 production
    units.
