Power
In 1536 a rebellion broke out which was called
the pilgrimage of grace which meant that king
Henry lost control of the north of England. In
the end the rebels were protesting about the
dissolution of the monasteries
Before 1530 everyone knew their place in the
church the Pope was in church and a monarch
defended the church. If anybody thought different
they would be punished. This picture is Tomas
Cranmer and he changed the Latin text and bible
into English text. He was burned at the stake
when Mary had taken charge of England and tried
to turn it back into a catholic country.
