Since our mission is to offer the books freely
to anyone, that leaves Institutions to pay for
it.

what is the value they are buying?
The answer is different for K-12 versus higher
education
  • K-12 textbooks are purchased by state DOEs and
    school districts (institutions)
  • Higher education textbooks are purchased by
    students (individuals)
