Vice Chancellor
Dr. R.K. Khandal, a fellow of the Royal Society
of Chemistry, London and a unanimously elected
President (for the period 2010 to 2012) of WAITRO
(World Association of Industrial Technological
Organizations) , which is a UN body, having more
than 180 Research Technological Organizations
as its members from 80 countries), took over as
Vice - Chancellor of GBTU on September 19, 2012.
Born on September 6, 1957, he obtained his Ph.D.
degree in Applied Chemistry from Indian School of
Mines, Dhanbad and started his career from there
in 1982 as a lecturer, before taking over as a
Group Leader of a UNIDO project on Pesticides
Formulation Technology in a Public Sector
Undertaking.
