    the Rejection of The King in 2 parts. 1st Part
    was the Revelation
  • Jesus revealing details about this Kingdom of
    Heaven and it being realized in the establishment
    of the church.
  • Jesus revealing details about the plan in place
    to establish the Kingdom / church upon
    Jerusalem, betrayed, scribes Pharisees rulers,
    suffering, dying, raise up in three days.
  • Reveals His reward.
  • Reveals His 2nd coming.
  • Revealed by certainty by transfiguration on the
    Mountain.
  • 2nd Part was the Instruction
  • Instruction about their faith.
  • Instruction about His death 2nd time
    (1721-22). (1st was 1621)
  • Instruction about humility.
  • Instruction about causing offence parables.
  • Instruction about forgiveness.
  • Instruction about divorce.

  • Now at the end of Jesus ministry, and within a
    week of His death, Jesus performs a
  • miracle of healing the blind.
  • CQ (class question) a. Why would it be easy to
    understand that multitudes would
  • be traveling, and why (at this time) would such
    blind men be positioned by the road?
  • Consider multitudes would be traveling to
    Jerusalem for Passover.

  • Journey to Jerusalem began at 171 and is now
    completed at 1934. What Matthew spends 2
    chapters on, Luke spends 10. Again, the wisdom of
    God using supplemental evidence.

    my house shall be called a house of prayer for
    all peoples.

  • Like those who hide out in the dens and caves and
    lay traps to rob others. It was
  • an abuse and perversion of the intended use as
    laid out by God. A quote from
  • Jeremiah 711 Is this house, which is called by
    my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes?
    Behold, I, even I, have seen it, saith Jehovah.

    teaching with respect to Gods house

  • Reverence and respect for the assembly of our
    worship.
  • Personal Detail considering our bodies as the
    temple of God (1 Co 316),
  • we each need to ask ourselves How is our temple
    maintained for service?
  • 12) Why were the chief priest and scribes
    indignant? _______________________
  • For His demonstration of miraculous power. (Acts
    416)
  • For the praise given to Him by the children.
  • Observations
  • 1st He prefers the blind and the lame over the
    buyers and sellers in the temple.
  • 2nd He prefers the children over the chief priest
    and scribes.
  • 13) How did Jesus silence their objection? (see

  • Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou
    established strength,

    applies to them.
