2UPR Description
- A User Preferred Routes is a routing that is
filed in an aircrafts FPL which allows the
aircraft to flight plan the most efficient route
for their flight.

The CEP consists of 7 fixed ATS Routes

- Trials are still under evaluation
- Ensure there are no adverse effects
- A study is being conducted to determine the
feasibility of using Flexible Tracks in the CEP
(target completion date 10/2007) - Users are encouraged to participate in the

Centers can support operational Trials - Port Moresby is ready to support UPRs on or east
of ATS Route G205. - South Pacific UPRs were discussed at the ISPACG
meeting in Auckland NZ.
18Japan South Pacific UPR Paper Trials
- An agreement was reached at the ISPACG Meeting to
begin a Paper Trial for UPR routings south of the
Fukuoka FIR. - If the results of the Paper Trial are successful,
the Trials may progress to Airborne UPRs.
19Action By The Meeting
- The group is requested to support beginning UPR
Paper Trials between the South Pacific and Japan.
The data from the paper trial may allow the ANSP
and Users to carefully evaluate the impacts of
these UPRs. -
- Users are encouraged to participate in the CEP
UPR Trial. Anyone interested in participating in
the trial should contact the Oakland Center
International Airspace and Procedures Office at
