Introduction

• This power point will inform you of White-tailed
  deer. The white-tailed deer lives all over North
  America, the size varies through out the states
  but the deer look the same.

What Do They Look Like ?

• A buck has antlers that very in size pending on
  how old it is or how much protein it gets from
  food.
• A doe has no antlers (very rarely does have
  antlers) and are much smaller than the bucks.
• They both have big tails, hooves and they have
  the same fur color.

There Food Sources

• The diet of a deer consists of grasses such as
  white clover, red clover, alfalfa and hay.
• They also eat shrubs (small trees), acorns, beach
  nuts, walnuts, apples, beans, carrots, pumpkins
  and corn.

Habitat

• Deer thrive for open country mainly fields,
  Hardwoods (for example oak, beach, apple) and in
  the winter soft wood (for example pine, hemlock,
  spruce)

Difference Of a Quality Buck and a Non-Quality
Buck

• The difference is that a quality buck has
  perfectly formed horns, they are not broken,
  crooked, or deformed. A non-quality deer has all
  these.

Deer management

• In order to have a healthy deer herd you need to
  manage it properly. If there's a buck with
  crooked antlers you dont want it in the herd
  because its not a quality deer.

  like, the difference between buck and doe, there
  food sources, habitat and difference between a
