Imagine being striped of everything you desire.
Image not having the important necessities
required to live a good life. Now think about
the Verdean people and what has happened to them.
They are an African American tribe that has liv
ed to dance. They look at dancing as theyre way
of talking. These people have had their brains
wiped clean of all the dances that they know.
They were somehow abducted by wild geese. These
geese took the whole village and brain washed
them so that the geese could take all of their
dancing moves. Now all the people walk around
and sing Im a little Tea Pot, day after day.
Our task is to help them learn how to dance
again! So, we need to search fast and find some
websites that tell us about the dances of the
1960s, the 1970s and the 1980s. Dont worry
they will learn the dances for the other years
after were done. For now lets focus on just
these years. LETS GET STARTED!!!
3
Your Job
Your task is to find 3-5 dances from each era
(The 60s, the 70s and the 80s) on the
internet. These dances that you will find are
for the Verdean people. We need to teach them a
couple of these dances to help them refresh their
memories on how to dance. We will also need to
neatly write these dances on a list and write a
description about 2 of them so they will be able
to try them. Hopefully this will be enough
information for the Verdean people. Just in case
we will be creating a packet that will contain
all your dances listed and the descriptions that
we wrote and mail them to the Verdean people.
Good luck!!!!

  • Your Process Is
  • Grab a computer and a partner.
  • Use the internet to find dances that were popular
    in the 60s, 70s and 80s.
  • You will need to find 3-5 dances for each era.
  • You will be responsible for listing the dances
you find and writing a short description about 2
dances from each era (The description should be
written well so that the Verdean People can
    understand the directions).
  • Each group will be able to show the class one
dance they have found from any era they choose.

on your work. Youve done an excellent job get
ting the dances for the Verdean people. Now
they have learned enough dances to go back

This was amazing, youve saved a whole village
