Not Just Another Brick in the Wall

• Chris Wanamaker is the average guitar instructor
  with a twist. Picture your average guitar
  instructor, and then picture the Slater Music
  Academy. The image that immediately pops into
  your head is a well groomed, short haired, strict
  teacher.

• Not Chris. Chris has long, blonde hair that he
  usually keeps in a ponytail, and glasses. He
  doesnt teach the average lessons, either. If
  you want to learn a Van Halen song, he has no
  argument.

• Chris works at the Slater Music academy in Fort
  Thomas, Kentucky. Slater has always been known
  as a strict, hard academy for intense musical
  instruction. Most piano instructors are quite
  similar to the stereotypical piano instructor
  the metronome, and the strict old lady who gets
  on you when your forget to practice.

• Once again, not Chris. His class consists of a
  laid back instruction of the classic chords and
  techniques, but still manages to teach you that
  Pink Floyd song you heard on the radio. Whatever
  you want to learn, he will teach you. And if you
  were a bad child and forgot to practice, its no
  big deal.
• Hey, its alright, just make sure you get to
  it sometime.

• Chris is into all sorts of modern and classic
  bands. Off the bat, his favorites are Pink Floyd
  and Phish. Both bands include four members, and,
  mostly psychedelic music.

• Chris also listens to some heavier bands, like
  Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, and Aerosmith.

• Chris has attended NKU and recently received his
  degree in 2004. He studies mainly in jazz. He
  has been teaching at Slater for almost two years
  now. Along with guitar, Chris plays the piano,
  steel drums, and the mandolin.

• Chris Wanamaker has several guitars. He owns
  several acoustic, and a few electrics.
  
• Among which are brands like Paul Reed Smith and
  the Heritage.

• Chris has played in a number of bands. Currently,
  Chris plays in a rock/blues band. He has played
  at the Blue Wisp Jazz Club a number of times, as
  well as several other popular hangouts.

• What I am basically trying to say is that Chris
  Wanamaker is probably the best guitar instructor
  out there. He is unique, talented, and loves to
  have fun, and loves seeing you have fun as well.
