16Reading I Acts 10, 37-43. (Anais Jansen) You
know what has happened throughout Judea,
beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John
preached-- how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth
with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went
around doing good and healing all who were under
the power of the devil, because God was with him.
"We are witnesses of everything he did in the
country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed
him by hanging him on a tree, but God raised him
from the dead on the third day and caused him to
be seen. He was not seen by all the people, but
by witnesses whom God had already chosen--by us
who ate and drank with him after he rose from the
dead. He commanded us to preach to the people and
to testify that he is the one whom God appointed
as judge of the living and the dead. All the
prophets testify about him that everyone who
believes in him receives forgiveness of sins
through his name.
17- Reading II (Lizbeth Pombo).
- I Corinthians 15 35-49.
- But some one will ask, "How are the dead
raised? With what kind of body do they come?" You
foolish man! What you sow does not come to life
unless it dies. And what you sow is not the body
which is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of
wheat or of some other grain. But God gives it a
body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed
its own body. For not all flesh is alike, but
there is one kind for men, another for animals,
another for birds, and another for fish. There
are celestial bodies and there are terrestrial
bodies but the glory of the celestial is one,
and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
There is one glory of the sun, and another glory
of the moon, and another glory of the stars for
star differs from star in glory. So is it with
the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is
perishable, what is raised is imperishable. It is
sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is
sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is
sown a physical body, it is raised a spiritual
body. If there is a physical body, there is also
a spiritual body. Thus it is written, "The first
man Adam became a living being" the last Adam
became a life-giving spirit. But it is not the
spiritual which is first but the physical, and
then the spiritual. The first man was from the
earth, a man of dust the second man is from
heaven. As was the man of dust, so are those who
are of the dust and as is the man of heaven, so
are those who are of heaven. Just as we have
borne the image of the man of dust, we shall
also bear the image of the man of heaven.
18Reading III Luke 241-12 (Edgar Doeksen) On the
first day of the week, very early in the morning,
the women took the spices they had prepared and
went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled
away from the tomb, but when they entered, they
did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While
they were wondering about this, suddenly two men
in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood
beside them. In their fright the women bowed down
with their faces to the ground, but the men said
to them, "Why do you look for the living among
the dead? He is not here he has risen! Remember
how he told you, while he was still with you in
Galilee 'The Son of Man must be delivered into
the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the
third day be raised again.'" Then they remembered
his words. When they came back from the tomb,
they told all these things to the Eleven and to
all the others. It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna,
Mary the mother of James, and the others with
them who told this to the apostles. But they did
not believe the women, because their words seemed
to them like nonsense. Peter, however, got up and
ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips
of linen lying by themselves, and he went away,
wondering to himself what had happened.
19Prayer Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good!
His faithful love endures forever.Let the
congregation of Israel repeat "His faithful love
endures forever." The strong right arm of the
LORD is raised in triumph. The strong right arm
of the LORD has done glorious things! I will not
die, but I will live to tell what the LORD has
done. God has ascended amid shouts of joy, the
Lord amid the sounding of trumpets. The stone
rejected by the builders has now become the
cornerstone. This is the LORD's doing, and it is
marvelous to see. This is the day the LORD has
made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. Please,
LORD, please save us. Please, LORD, please give
us success. You are my God, and I will praise
you! You are my God, and I will exalt you! (From
Psalm 118).
20- Christ has become our paschal sacrifice let us
feast with the unleavened bread of sincerity and
truth. - Hallelujah.
- (1 Cor 57,8)
21- Christ is before me, Christ is behind me
- Christ is above me, Christ is beneath me
- Christ to the right, Christ to the left
- Jesus, I die in you
- Jesus, I live in you
